OpenAI is releasing Operator, a research preview of an AI agent capable of performing tasks on the web using a browser. Operator, powered by the Computer-Using Agent (CUA) model, can handle repetitive browser tasks, learn from user feedback, and prioritize user control and data privacy. OpenAI plans to expand access, integrate Operator into ChatGPT, and expose CUA in the API for developers.
